What is Fit to Fight? The Fit to Fight program is predicated on years of empirical data collection with regards to building a fighting/sparring system that, by virtue of structure and progressive resistance, lends by itself to retention of students, as opposed to alienating those who may lack the attributes or/and perhaps more importantly - the disposition that one usually must posses in fighting classes. Keep Your Members! Fit to Fight is for those licensees/instructors who want a real fight program that lasts and that doesn't turn off the majority of their students. The Fit to Fight program retains students through its comprehensive curriculum and by introducing contact in a methodical, non intimidating, palatable way. Ultimately, what we have heard over the years of travel and teaching is that "Fight" classes tend to be populated by those who want to fight, as opposed to those who need a fighting-oriented class. What Pros are Saying? "It's very important that students want to come back and learn to fight, so we're working in close at first. Starting from clinch, working a lot of different neck wrestling, pummeling, under hooks, over hooks, and then working from there so they get a safe distance. And they feel confident when they come back to the classroom the next time that they have a foundation to really go to." - Matt Romond, KMW km-X Director. "Fit to Fight is my first recommendation for instructors who are looking for teaching methodology to bring new fighters to a high level of proficiency in a short amount of time. Fit to Fight instructors are detail-oriented not only their ability to teach techniques, but also helping new students to troubleshoot common mistakes and informative, challenging and fun training drills to reiterate skills and concepts in combat sports." - Jeanine Jackson, KMW Maryland Program Director and Instructor. "What a program! It just makes sense. I have been in the Martial Arts for 20 years and have yet to see a program that I feel is as complete as [the] Fit to Fight program. I feel incredibly fortunate and honored to be a part of this curriculum that is taking my fight classes to new heights. Not only are my students gaining a better knowledge of the techniques, but the retention in my sparring classes has doubled. i feel so privileged to receive this type of training and support in implementing this awesome program." - Matt Robinson, KMW Charleston Owner
